Landon Bourque Accident: Obituary, Cause of Death, Funeral

The Frisco Independent School District community is grieving and mourning the sad event, in which they lost their outstanding and beloved student.

The 15-year-old teen, identified as Landon Bourque, became the victim of the car crash while on his way to early morning football practice on the first day of school and died away, leaving behind everyone in deep shock and pain.

Frisco Independent School District, for its part, sent out a statement informing the student’s identity. Landon Bourque, 15, was a student at Heritage High School.

“Frisco ISD is deeply saddened by the loss of Heritage High School sophomore Landon Bourque, who was killed this morning after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle.”

Landon was a beloved member of the campus community. The Coyote family (school mascot) will feel your loss; our thoughts are with the Bourque family and their loved ones. Heritage teachers, students, and parents were briefed early this morning, and counselors are on campus addressing the immediate needs of students,” the statement reads.

Accident details

Landon Bourque, an undergraduate at Heritage High School in Frisco, TX, came by bicycle when a motorist hit him.

McKinney police are in charge of investigating a fatal crash on Independence Way at the corner of George Washington Drive and whose victim is a Frisco school district student.

Authorities said the fatal crash happened around 5:30 a.m. when the teen tried to cross the roadway and was hit by a driver who stopped to help him, but the victim died at the scene.

The investigation continues, and it is unknown if the driver will face charges.
